YSA Lincoln Park DIY Skatepark Cleanup

Join the Youngstown Skatepark Association on Saturday, August 15, from 1:00–4:00 PM as we come together to clean up the Lincoln Park DIY Skatepark!

This space is being built by the community, for the community, and we need your help to transform it into the skatepark we all know it can become.

We'll be removing litter, trimming overgrowth, and clearing woody debris to prepare the site for our Pop-Up Skatepark @ Lincoln Park on August 22nd.

The City of YOUngstown & Green Youngstown - Litter Control RUBY trailer will be on site with equipment for volunteers to use, but we'd greatly appreciate any extra help with providing landscaping tools!

Useful items include:

  • String trimmers/weed whackers

  • Shovels

  • Wheelbarrows

  • Rakes

  • Chainsaws

  • Loppers or pruning tools

  • Any other landscaping equipment

Please come dressed to get dirty! We strongly recommend wearing long pants, boots or sturdy shoes, long-sleeve shirt, hat, and work gloves (if you have them). Don't forget the sunscreen & bug spray! 

Once the cleanup is complete, the DIY skatepark will be ready to ride. Feel free to bring your board, bike, scooter, and helmet to enjoy the DIY skatepark afterward.

Please note: This is not a formal pop-up skatepark event. The Youngstown Skatepark Association will not be bringing the pop-up skatepark equipment to this cleanup and riders use the DIY skatepark at their own risk.
